Newsletter and resource privacy

What subscribing means

You choose an unchecked consent box to receive RE Media Weekly: one weekly briefing with real estate photography news, tools and practical workflows, plus occasional RE Media Systems resources and offers. New subscribers also receive their requested guide and a short introductory follow-up. You can use the resources without subscribing.

What the form records

We send your first name and email to Mailchimp, together with the requested resource, its approved download address, the newsletter consent version and time, and a limited signup-channel label such as website or YouTube. We keep the original acquisition source and consent fields. An existing subscribed address confirms a new weekly-news preference through an emailed link before we record it. Already enrolled weekly readers can use more resources without restarting the welcome sequence. Resource and topic tags help us understand which materials are useful.

For an existing subscribed address requesting the weekly-news preference, we temporarily store the request and a one-time confirmation token for up to 24 hours. Mailchimp receives the confirmation-link field so it can send the requested verification. Opening that link does not change the subscription; you complete a confirmation form. The link field is cleared after confirmation. Mailchimp handles pending confirmation, subscription status, delivery, campaign records and unsubscribe choices. It may process network and device information associated with these actions. We do not force an unsubscribed or cleaned address back into subscribed status.

Spam checks and retention

The form uses an expiring signed token, a timing check, a honeypot, a hashed network rate marker and hashed email/replay markers. Rate markers expire after 10 minutes, email cooldown markers after one hour and replay markers after two hours. WordPress manages expired-record cleanup. We keep subscription and consent records while needed to provide the subscription, document permission and honour suppression choices.

Optional measurement

Conversion measurement is off until you select it in Privacy choices. That choice lasts for this page visit and resets on reload. When allowed, Google Analytics may receive cookie, device and network information plus resource, channel and event labels. We do not include your name, email or calculator amounts in conversion events. You can turn measurement off in the same dialog.

Calculator and downloads

The package-price calculator works in your browser. Its inputs are not sent with newsletter signup or stored by this tool. Downloading a PDF does not require a subscription. If you save or share a completed PDF, you control the information written into that copy.

Providers and email preferences

WordPress hosts the form and Mailchimp processes the subscription and emails. Delivery emails may use link tracking; open tracking is disabled in the staged welcome flow. An accepted signup is not proof of confirmation, and a download click is not proof of a completed download.

Use Unsubscribe or Update preferences in an RE Media Systems email, or contact Scott to ask about access, correction or deletion. We review requests in light of the service and the records involved. This subscription does not add you to Scott Prokop Photography realtor marketing.
