The Gear I Trust to Shoot Faster & Earn More

After photographing more than 10,000 homes, I’ve refined a gear setup built for speed, reliability, and professional results.

Every product on this page has earned its place in my workflow. After photographing more than 10,000 homes over 14+ years, I’ve learned that the best gear isn’t necessarily the most expensive—it’s the gear that helps you work faster, deliver better results, and build a more profitable business.

Will it help photographers shoot faster, earn more, or deliver better quality?

Every Recommendation Is Tested in Real Client Work

Unlike many gear websites, every recommendation here comes from equipment I personally use on paid client shoots—not products chosen for the highest commission.

Every item has been selected because it saves time, improves image quality, or helps photographers build a more profitable business.

Cameras

Sony A7 V & Sony A7 IV

The Sony A7 V is my primary camera and the heart of my fast handheld HDR real estate photography workflow. After photographing over 10,000 homes, I’ve learned that reliability, speed, and dynamic range matter more than anything — and the A7 V delivers.

The incredible dynamic range handles challenging interiors with bright windows, while the fast autofocus and improved performance make it a perfect camera for high-volume real estate photographers.

The Sony A7 IV was my workhorse for years and is still an excellent camera today. It’s now my recommended budget-friendly option for photographers who want professional image quality without the higher price of the latest model.

Why I recommend these cameras:

✔ Exceptional dynamic range for natural-looking interior HDR images
✔ Fast performance for efficient handheld shooting
✔ Reliable autofocus for photography and video
✔ Professional full-frame image quality
✔ Durable cameras built for thousands of homes

Why Camera Choice Matters in Real Estate

The camera itself isn’t about specs — it’s about consistency and results.

The right system allows for:

  • Accurate colors
  • Clean window detail
  • Strong dynamic range
  • Reliable performance on every shoot

That’s what ultimately creates professional, trustworthy listing media.

Why This Works

  • ✔ Clearly states what YOU actually use (authority)
  • ✔ Still monetizes via recommended options
  • ✔ Pushes traffic to your YouTube video (ecosystem play)
  • ✔ Avoids turning into a spec-heavy review section
  • ✔ Reinforces your quality standards + consistency mindset

Drones

DJI Air 3S

This is my primary drone for real estate work.

I use the Air 3S on most listings because it’s reliable, fast to deploy, and gives me flexibility with multiple focal lengths without switching drones mid-shoot. That efficiency matters when shooting multiple homes in a day.

✔ Reliable in real-world conditions

DJI Osmo Pocket 4

This is my go-to camera for cinematic real estate walkthrough videos. It’s incredibly compact, easy to use, and produces smooth, professional footage thanks to its built-in 3-axis gimbal and excellent 4K image quality. The small size means I can move through a home quickly without carrying a bulky camera rig.

I highly recommend the Creator Combo, which includes the wireless DJI Mic, fill light, and other accessories. The mic is perfect for Realtor narrations, and the fill light adds just the right amount of pop to make your Realtor stand out on camera.
